i really like this…and get it even though it’s abstract, which is unusual because most of the time poetry confuses me because i don’t know what the poet is talking about. i knew what you were talking about with the year (hip hop) and even without knowing what you were specifically referring to with the gates and the apology, it still works very well for me.
i dig it.
